The service, managed by Claire Foy and supported by Sue Barry, offers a home based parent support programme where trained local parents visit families in their own homes to share their experience and offer encouragement. We work with particularly vulnerable parents identified by Halton Children Centres and, because of our partnership working with a wide range of other agencies, the programme offers families signposting to appropriate information, advice and guidance around the whole issues of family life and parenthood. Our volunteers are all trained in supporting Breast Feeding Awareness, Healthy Eating and Adult Learning Opportunities.

In any one week our trained volunteers work with 30 adults representing 50 children.

This programme also provides residents in Halton with the opportunity to train to serve children and families within their own communities and trained 42 volunteers to date. We have a great success rate in assisting career & personal development through training & volunteering opportunities.
