What is Family Support?
- Family Support is provided mainly through outreach, offering support to families in the Halton area.
- Family Support covers a wide range of topics and issues. This is decided with the individual/family what needs are to be met.
- Family Support takes place on an agreed timescale with the individual/family; this varies from once a week, every two weeks or sometimes every third week.
- Family Support workers ask that the individual/family sign a personal information permission form to enable us to share relevant information with other agencies if and when this is required.
- Family Support also offers support to the family when attending important meetings, i.e. School appointments, Doctors appointments, (in the area).
- Referrals for Family Support come from Social Services, Health Visitors, Education, Sure Start, St. John's Unit, or you can also refer yourself.
- Family Support workers can also offer the Carolyn Webster Stratton Parenting
Group and the 'feelFREE' group to families in Halton.
